1. What is Deuterium?
Deuterium is heavy hydrogen. An isotope that is 2x the molecular mass of hydrogen/protium.
Although deuterium accounts for only 0.015% of all Hydrogen's...Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. There is about 6X more deuterium than calcium & 10X more than magnesium in our blood.
2. Why is excess Deuterium bad for us?
We need some amount of deuterium, but in excess it causes problems. The reason is that after a certain threshold, we can no longer prevent deuterium from causing damage in our mitochondria. Deuterium's heavy mass causes biological disruption, specifically in our in our respiratory proteins, which are designed to pump protons and not deuterons (2X the mass). When deuterium gets in these proteins, they break.
If you are a regular reader of my newsletter, you know the importance of the electron transport chain (ETC) and our mitochondria. When you break the respiratory proteins via high deuterium…you are causing biological chaos (aka inflammation).
Compromised respiratory chain = compromised energy production + water production
Dysfunctional mitochondria = hallmark of chronic disease

Deuterium depletion has shown as an effective intervention for treating cancer.
Prostate, lung, and breast cancer patients had a profound mean survival time increase with deuterium depletion. In most cases adding YEARS to a patients life.
In advanced stage IV pancreatic cancer patients, a deuterium depleted water treatment protocol on top of standard treatment resulted in patients surviving OVER 3X longer than the control
19.6 months vs 6.4 months, incredible.
4. HIGH DEUTERIUM DIET
Why do our bodies have far more deuterium than ever before in human history?cOur high carbohydrate, processed foods diet. Plants store their detuterium in their glucose. Modern carb sources are not only deuterium bombs, but they are also glyphosate bombs.
Glyphosate alters your body's ability to strip out deuterium before it enters the respiratory chain in your mitochondria. Combining glyphosate + high deuterium content = imminent mitochondrial dysfunction = chronic disease. AVOID grains, eat organic.
So what is low in deuterium? Grass fed animal fat.
Fat across the board is lower in deuterium, but specifically grass fed animals provide at least 10-15ppm lower deuterium content due to their more deuterium depleted energy carriers in the mitochondria.
Best way to deplete your deuterium? Eat a high fat / low carb diet rich in grass fed animal fat.
Other ways? Drink mountain spring water over sea level tap water (the higher the latitude + elevation of the source the better)
Mix DDW with regular water to deplete to 120-130ppm
